Business Technology Expert Gene Marks, Forbes Contributor, has published an article urging businesses to steer clear of ChatGPT Search — at least for now. Business Consultant Jeff Spaletta shares key points from the Business Tech Expert’s recent statements:
As Artificial Intelligence (AI) continues to swarm conversations in just about every avenue, many businesses are looking into the possibilities. Business Consultant and Business Technology Expert Jeff Spaletta has done his fair share of recent research on AI as applicable to business growth and development. A recently published article in the Business Tech News section of Forbes has made some startling claims about potential negative impacts of AI on businesses and startups today. Namely, the article focuses on ChatGPT Search: an application that is becoming all the rage in the AI tech space… or is it?
In his article for Forbes, Gene Marks explains that ChatGPT Search cannot be trusted for timely, relevant or even accurate information. In recent research shared by Columbia’s Tow Center for Digital Journalism, ChatGPT Search was found to not provide accurate information or data in its responses. But it’s not just ChatGPT, explains Business Tech Expert Gene Marks: the Forbes Contributor found himself “underwhelmed” with results from all similar AI platforms currently available, including Gemini, Copilot, Perplexity and Claude. In his own experience, Jeff Spaletta has encountered outdated information retrieved from ChatGPT and also urges his business and startup clients to stay away, for now. While it is likely that generative AI tools will improve with time, it’s safe to say that these platforms cannot currently be relied on by businesses for accurate information.
